
Doğuş Science High School consists of four year
levels.
Doğuş Science High School education programme aims
at:
- Providing able students in Science and
Mathematics with intense course work preparing
them for higher education in the Sciences.
- Educating potential scientists and
mathematicians.
- Providing the necessary learning environment
to enable students to be interested in and
explore scientific and technological
developments.
- Enabling students to have a good command of
English in order to follow the latest scientific
and technological developments as well as
conduct their own research.
The curriculum at Doğuş Science High School,
which is based on the Mastery Learning Approach
theory, empowers students' learning through
implementation of the Multiple Intelligence
theory, creates an active learning environment
and takes students' individual abilities into
consideration.
Educational methods are devised taking into
account the school's aims and the needs of the
students. The curriculum, based on active
learning and the Multiple Intelligence Theory,
enables the students to work individually and in
groups, make presentations, discuss, explore and
use educational technology.
The cultural, social, fine arts, sport
activities and elective lessons develop the
abilities and creativity of the students. These
activities also promote students' awareness of
their national and international
responsibilities.
Doğuş Science High School encourages its
students to take part in national and
international projects. With these projects we
aim:
- to help the students acquire skills in
critical and creative thinking,
communication, problem solving and use of IT.
- to encourage the students to develop an
enquiring attitude to life and be able to
take the initiative.
- to put the knowledge learned in the
lessons into practice through both national
and international projects.
The project studies of the students are
supported by Doğuş University. For this
porpose there is a "Science Committee".
The academic, administrative and support
staff at Doğuş Schools base their work on
the principles of continuity, motivation and
a lifelong love of learning when they
endeavour to foster knowledge, skills and
the standard of behaviour that is expected
from the students.
Doğuş Schools is a member of the Private Schools
Association, TÖDER, SEMEP, ECIS and CIS. Doğuş
Schools are the accredited member of CIS
(Council of International Schools)
