In Primary Grades 1-5, Doğuş Elementary School offers
Turkish, mathematics, science and technology, social
studies and social sciences as well as intensive
English.
In Middle School 6-8, Doğuş Elementary School offers a
wide selection of second foreign languages - Chinese,
French, German, Italian, Japanese or Spanish - in
addition to English, Turkish, mathematics, social
sciences and science and technology.
The curriculum at Doğuş Elementary School is based on
the Mastery Learning Approach which encourages students'
learning through the implementation of the Multiple
Intelligence Theory and creates an active learning
environment that takes students' individual abilities
into consideration.
In Grades 6-8, an advanced educational programme - that
focuses on the Level Assessment Exam (SBS) has been
developed. Educational methods are devised taking into
account Doğuş School's aims and the needs of the
students. The curriculum, based on active learning and
Multiple Intelligence Theory, enables the students to
work individually and in groups, make presentations,
discuss, explore and use educational technology.
Cultural, social, fine arts, sport activities, clubs and
elective lessons develop the abilities and creativity of
the students. These activities also promote students'
awareness of their national and international
responsibilities.
The academic, administrative and support staff at Doğuş
Schools base their work on the principles of continuity,
motivation and a lifelong love of learning and they
endeavour to foster knowledge, skills and the standard
of behaviour that is expected from the students.
