Doğuş Schools was founded in 1974 to establish an
education system capable of enriching our country's economic,
social and cultural position.
The high school was opened in 1974, the elementary school was opened in 1985 and the
kindergarten in 1987.
The first school radio station (106.5) programme in
Turkey was broadcast in 1993 with the topic of "The
voice of Atatürk's youth."
In 1995 Doğuş Schools was enlarged with the opening of
the science high school to educate students who are
highly-gifted in science.
The same year Doğuş Education Foundation was established.
In 1997 Doğuş University was founded and began its first
academic year.
Doğuş University added community service to its roles
and Doğuş University Continuing Education centre
(DOĞUŞ-SEM) was established.
Doğuş continues its teaching at every level of education
in Acıbadem, Kadıköy. With this in mind and with Doğuş'
aim to contribute to the development of pre-schooling in
Turkey, a second kindergarten was established in Çamlıca
in 2004
Doğuş Schools is located in the centre of Istanbul and
is easily accessible from every part of the city.
