Doğuş
Anatolian High School consists of a five year course
of study including a preparatory class. It has an
Anatolian High School status where the instruction
in mathematics and science is in English. There is
also an intensive English programme.
The curriculum at Doğuş Anatolian High School, which
is based on the Mastery Learning Approach, empowers
students' learning through implementation of the
Multiple Intelligence Theory, and creates an active
learning environment that takes students' individual
abilities into consideration.
Educational methods are devised taking into account
the school's aims and the needs of the students. The
curriculum, based on active learning and the
Multiple Intelligence Theory, enables the students
to work individually and in groups, make
presentations, discuss, explore and use educational
technology.
Cultural, social, fine arts, sport activities and
elective lessons develop the abilities and
creativity of the students. These activities also
promote students' awareness of their national and
international responsibilities.
Doğuş Anatolian High School encourages its students
to take part in national and international projects.
With these projects we aim:
- To help students acquire skills in critical
and creative thinking, communication, problem
solving and use of IT.
- To encourage the students to develop an
inquiring attitude to life and be able to take
the initiative.
- To put the knowledge learned in the lessons
into practice through both national and
international projects.
The project studies of the students are supported by
Doğuş University. For this purpose there is a
"Science Committee" which helps the students with
their projects.
The academic, administrative and support staff at
Doğuş Schools base their work on the principles of
continuity, motivation and a lifelong love of
learning. For this reason endeavour to foster
knowledge, skills and the standard of behaviour that
is expected from the students.
Doğuş Schools is a member of the Private Schools
Association, TÖDER, SEMEP, ECIS and CIS. Doğuş
Schools are the accredited member of CIS
(Council of International Schools)
